Project Overview

This case documents a custom traction-battery project. It illustrates an engineering approach to one application; it is not a drop-in replacement product or a specification for TUORDE’s 24V truck starting and parking batteries.

Engineering Challenges

Seasonal temperature extremes

The operating requirements covered very cold winters and hot summer conditions.

Power and runtime

Vehicle duty, terrain and available battery energy had to be considered together.

Mechanical durability

Structural integration, vibration and environmental exposure required a coordinated pack design.

Customized Battery Solution

Active thermal management

The source describes fluid-based heating and cooling integrated into the battery system.

Power and charging development

High-power architecture, energy management and cold-weather charging were included in the development scope. No charging-time guarantee is stated here.

Structural and BMS integration

The brief includes a structural pack, vibration damping and condition-based or predictive-maintenance functions in the BMS.

Source-Reported System Specifications

Values transcribed from T44 Case Study.pdf; not a general product datasheet.
ParameterSource-reported project information
ApplicationFully electric truck traction battery
Reported battery pack540V / 80Ah
Reported energyApproximately 44kWh
Thermal approachActive fluid-based heating and cooling
Mechanical approachStructural battery pack and vibration damping
Environmental designEnhanced sealing and corrosion protection

The source reports 540V / 80Ah and approximately 44kWh. Their direct product is 43.2kWh; the reported energy is retained without replacing it with a calculated value. Confirm the nominal ratings and energy basis in the project datasheet.

Design and Integration Highlights

Temperature requirements

The cited environmental conditions are project requirements, rather than a universal operating range for TUORDE products.

Sealing and corrosion

The source describes enhanced IP67 sealing and corrosion protection as integration priorities.

Configuration review

Pack drawings, charging limits and vehicle interfaces remain specific to the selected project configuration.

Project Results

The source reports at least 3,000 cycles at 80% depth of discharge and vehicle operation of up to eight hours per charge. These are results reported in the T44 case brief; the brief does not provide the full duty cycle, temperature or acceptance-test conditions.

The case brief is TUORDE-supplied project documentation. Detailed test methods, acceptance records and applicable configuration drawings are available for discussion; no independent validation or universal performance guarantee is implied.
